Following mixing, the powder is transferred to a heating oven to reduce moisture to trace levels, preventing hydrogen-induced cracking in the final welds. It is then fed through a vibration mesh separator to eliminate oversized agglomerates.
Simultaneously, low-carbon steel strip is processed through our high-speed slitting machine to create precise narrow bands. Surface residues can compromise weld quality, so the slit strips run through our continuous ultrasonic cleaning machine. This system uses multi-stage ultrasonic baths, fresh-water rinsing, and hot-air drying to deliver a clean surface for forming.
The clean steel strip enters the forming machine, where precision roll tools shape it into a U-profile. The mixed flux powder is dosed into this channel via a loss-in-weight feeder. The strip is then formed into an O-shape, using either a butt-weld seam or an overlap configuration depending on the target mechanical specification. This seal prevents powder leakage during downstream processing.
The filled wire undergoes multi-pass reduction in our straight-line welding wire drawing machine. Using robust drawing dies and rolling cassettes, the wire is reduced to its final diameter. Active cooling systems prevent overheating, maintaining the integrity of the internal flux. Lastly, the finished wire is spooled using a high-precision layer rewinding machine or packaged in drums for automated welding applications.
