The manufacturing process begins with low-carbon steel strip coils. The Steel Strip Slitting Line divides wide coils into exact, narrow-width strips. Surface impurities like grease, oxidation, or dust are completely eliminated in the inline Steel Strip Ultrasonic Cleaning Machine. Clean steel strips are crucial to prevent hydrogen embrittlement and porosity in the subsequent welding process.
Meanwhile, the precise chemical composition of the core is prepared. Using our Flux Powder Mixing Machine, complex alloys, deoxidizers, and slag-forming materials are thoroughly mixed to absolute uniformity. Dry, homogeneous powder ensures consistent chemical qualities along the entire length of the welding wire.
The clean steel strip is fed into the Steel Strip Forming Machine, which bends the strip into a U-shape. High-precision dosing units feed the mixed flux powder into the steel channel. Our forming machine then closes the seam using an overlap or butt-seam configuration, sealing the powder inside. Inline strip butt-welders guarantee continuous strip feeding without line stops.
The filled raw wire (usually ~6.0mm or 8.0mm in diameter) undergoes reduction. The Straight Type Drawing Machine uses heavy-duty rolling cassettes and drawing dies to systematically reduce the wire to target commercial diameters (e.g., 1.2mm, 1.6mm) without structural stress or powder segregation.
