We implement a PID-controlled dancer system coupled with ultra-responsive servo motors. By monitoring the wire's linear speed and spool radius in real-time, the system automatically adjusts torque output. This micro-adjustment prevents wire stretching (which decreases cross-sectional area) and prevents loose loops that cause tangles during payout.
Replacing unreliable mechanical clutches, our machinery utilizes electronic traverse systems powered by independent servo drives. The pitch of the traverse is calculated automatically based on the wire diameter, and adjusts dynamically as the layer reaches the spool flange, preventing build-ups or voids at the edges.
