Producing high-quality FCW requires mechanical precision to encapsulate the flux powder without voiding the seam.

We provide FCW machines featuring modern tension controls, high-speed draw capstans, and reliable powder mixing stations. We have delivered over 150 complete flux-cored welding wire production lines to customers in more than 10 countries, including in Western Europe and North America.
From raw steel strips to spooling, our production processes meet global quality requirements.
The manufacturing process begins with low-carbon steel strip rolls. Our slitting lines slice the wide strip into equal narrow strips. These strips pass through the Ultrasonic Type Cleaning Machine, which removes grease, scale, and carbon deposits. This cleaning step ensures the steel and flux powder form a strong bond, reducing weld spatter and improving arc stability.
Flux composition is key to wire performance. The Flux Powder Mixing Machine blends mineral, metal, and deoxidizer powders into a homogeneous mixture. The system monitors moisture levels and operates at controlled drying temperatures to prevent hydrogen porosity in the finished wire.
The cleaned steel strip is fed into a forming mill where profiling rollers shape it into a U-channel. The mixed flux powder is dosed into this channel. The strip is then closed via butt-seam or overlap joints, securing the powder in place before drawing.
To reduce the wire diameter, it passes through the Straight Type Drawing Machine. Equipped with rolling cassettes and drawing dies, it reduces the diameter while cold-working the steel envelope to improve tensile strength. Dynamic tension sensors prevent wire breakage during reduction.
The wire is rewound using the Solid Wire Layer Rewinder. This machine spools the wire in neat, parallel layers. Clean layer winding ensures smooth feeding during high-speed robotic welding processes.
For high-volume manufacturing, wire is packed into drums or pails using the Drum Packaging Machine or Pail Packaging Machine. These bulk packs protect the wire from moisture and dust during transport and long-term storage.
